Henry Aldrich Gets Glamour

This is the best in the Aldrich series with a well-written and funny, though implausible, script. Lydon has all the girls in his high school chasing him after he returns from a Hollywood trip where he had a misleading photo taken with a young starlet. A scandal erupts when he becomes involved with the school superintendent's daughter, almost wrecking his father's chances of being elected to a public office. Lydon's big surprise comes when the starlet, in town on a USO tour, accepts his invitation to attend a country club dance.
