Are all summer camp movies irredeemably stupid and gross? Maybe not, but you couldn't prove it with HEAVYWEIGHTS. At Camp Hope, no one's the fat kid, because all the campers are plumpers. New camp director and weight loss guru Tony Perkis (Ben Stiller), a twitching bundle of neurotic
tics, plans to change all that. Not coincidentally, he also intends to document the marathon shedding of
avoirdupois and use it for an infomercial plugging his slenderizing program. The kids rebel, and Perkis gets what's coming to him. There seems to be a message here about being true to yourself,
but it's hard to find it under the blubber jokes.
