Potatoes, onions and cabbage take on new meanings in this story of a grocer who is mistakenly identified as a gunrunner, nearly causing a revolution. The names of vegetables are used as code words for various sorts of ammo. When the real thing arrives instead of weapons, the rebels have an overabundance of groceries. A pleasantly silly picture, which surprisingly has not been remade on Hollywood's rehash machine. leave a comment
