Heartland

This touching, realistic frontier story stars Conchata Ferrell as Elinore, a widow determined to make a good life for her ten-year-old daughter (Megan Folson). Answering an ad, Elinore travels to Wyoming to be the housekeeper for taciturn skinflint Clyde (Rip Torn), a hard-as-nails Scottish farmer. Elinore works tirelessly for Clyde, who comes to take a liking to her and helps her obtain some land from an eccentric female rancher (Lilia Skala).
