Heartbreak Ridge: Review

Further exploring his on-screen persona, producer-director-actor Clint Eastwood took on the role of Tom Highway, a gruff, foul-mouthed anachronism of the old Marine Corps who asks to end his career where it began: as gunnery sergeant for his old outfit. His old outfit, however, is now full of lazy malcontents who feel they've been duped into the Army by slick advertising.
