Crosby is, once again, a crooner. This time he travels to the French Riviera, where he meets Carlisle (who became one of the most popular panelists on TV's "What's My Line" after marrying Moss Hart), an ice princess of a mythical country. (This plot was later re-used in THE PRINCE AND THE
SHOWGIRL; HER HIGHNESS AND THE BELLHOP; and several other commoner-falls-in-love-with-royalty films.) Crosby masquerades as a waiter to get closer to Carlisle and the result is love. Crosby displays some excellent comedic timing in this film, a forerunner of the many funny roles he was to play
