Boyer hears a beautiful singing voice and immediately falls in love with its source. Little does this German duke realize that the voice belongs not to an empress but to hairdresser Harvey. This film is notable as being another unsuccessful attempt to broaden the popularity of Harvey outside of England. It was a British production made at the famed UFA studio in pre-Hitler Germany with a mostly English cast. leave a comment
