When Girotti and his army take over Asia Minor and institute their own form of pagan worship, their tyranny causes unrest and an underground network plots Girotti's death. After the assassination attempt is botched, Girotti orders its plotters to turn themselves in lest he take out his wrath on the population. When the beautiful Corey finds out her brother and fiance are among the rebels, she decides to join the group and finish the assassination herself. This goes awry when the would-be killer and her victim fall in love; however, when Girotti decides he must destroy the town to look good before his troops, Corey resolves to save her people and ends up decapitating her lover. As Girotti's army flees the city in fear, Corey holds up the severed head and lightning destroys the phony pagan idol. English dubbing hurts this adaptation of the biblical story, but the film does well within its limited aims. leave a comment
