He Snoops To Conquer

In the town hall of the small English town of Tangleton, Formby works as an all-around handyman. A pair of reporters from London come to investigate possible corruption in the town's postwar plans and are helped out by the unwitting handyman. Later Formby is ordered to destroy some important housing forms to cover up the political scheming, but an accident sends these forms flying in the wind. Finally with the help of crackpot inventor Hare, Formby is able to oust the dishonest government and all is well. Not very good outing for Formby and unlike the formula that made his other comedies much better.
