Ginger Rogers proves that she can act, too, playing a city gal who heads for a little rest-and-relaxation in the country. Instead of relaxing, she takes up romancing when she meets Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. The script was adapted by Arthur Kober from his Yiddish play. Because of the Hays Code, Kober was told to tame the Jewish references for fear of offending the audience. The alterations included changing character names to something that sounded more Gentile--Terry Stern became Teddy Shaw and Chick Kessler was now Chick Kirkland.
