Price stars once again in another Corman horror tale, this time as a warlock who is burned at the stake in 1765 by the villagers of the town of Arkham. Before he dies, the warlock vows vengeance on the townsfolk. One hundred years later, the warlock's great-great grandson (also Price) arrives in Arkham with his bride, Paget, to move into his grandfather's mansion. In the village, he finds mutated townspeople who haunt the castle grounds--obviously results of the warlock's curse. Slowly, Price becomes obsessed with his great-great grandfather's spirit until he becomes the warlock, once again wreaking havoc on the populace, with the help of his hulking assistant, Chaney, and fellow warlock, Parsons. Price also brings his ancestor's former lover and witch, Merchant, back from the dead. The villagers mobilize once again to deal with the mad warlock and storm the castle with torches in hand, interrupting Price's sacrifice of Paget. When they set fire to the castle, it burns down, freeing Price from his grandfather's spell. leave a comment
