The first film to feature the Harlem Globetrotters (GO, MAN, GO! followed three years later), this entertaining movie follows a college student (Billy Brown) as he drops out to chase fame and fortune with the Trotters. Because he's in it a little too much for himself, the new player
comes into conflict with his coach (Thomas Gomez) and teammates, but with the help of his girl friend (Dorothy Dandridge), he sets himself straight. The story is just an excuse to film the Globetrotters in action, however, and the antics of basketball wizards Marques Haynes and Goose Tatum are
enough to make this worthwhile viewing.
