Loy stars in what is really a silent film with a few sound sequences that were hurriedly added just before its release. The result is a boring, uneven film that sees Loy as a refined Southern belle, forced by the suicide of her father, who suffered financial ruin, to work in a gambling
house in an effort to pay off the old man's debts. Of course there is a dashing male lead played by Collier who takes her away from it all.
