Fishing boat owner Denning augments his income by using his boat for smuggling, but before he can deliver the money to boss Zucco he is robbed. Zucco thinks Denning stole the money and puts a couple of hit men on his trail. While hiding out, Denning falls in love and decides to go straight. He proves his innocence to Zucco and fingers the robbers, one of whom is soon dead, along with Zucco. Denning faces society ready to pay for his crimes.
