HAPPY HOUR'S title is a complete misnomer. It's not so much a happy hour as it is a dismal 88 minutes. There's this beer company in Denver that accidentally stumbles onto a secret ingredient that makes the public gaga over the firm's product. Somehow the formula's been lost, so the brewery and its chief rival hire mercenaries (the dapper Rich Little and the slimy Jamie Farr) to find them. This film tosses characters and plot around willynilly, interspersing the confusion with tasteless humor and noxious performances. leave a comment
