Lost in the Amazonian jungle for eight years, Steiger returns home to find his once dimwitted carhop wife (York) educated and liberated. This is a fine comedy full of humor, morbidity, and bite and a good cast. Steiger's macho swaggering adventurer is a standout. The high point comes fairly early as Ferdin explains from Heaven why she is happy that she was run over by an ice cream truck on her birthday. leave a comment
