Four debauched Miami beach bums looking for a thrill wind up kidnaping Mafioso Quinn. When they try to obtain a ransom, nobody wants to pay to get him back. Quinn angrily seizes their gun and takes over his own kidnaping. He makes a few threatening calls, and the ransom soars from $200,000 to $3,000,000. The kidnapers manage to pick up the cash without the FBI spotting them, but the bills are marked. Quinn burns the money and walks out. There might have been a good movie here, but, between Quinn's performance and a script which lurches about, it's lost. Faye Dunaway's first film.
