Hangman's Knot: Review

Scott commands a raiding party of Confederate cavalry at the end of the Civil War. After robbing a Yankee gold shipment in Nevada, they are told by a dying Union soldier that the war has been over for a month. Now facing criminal prosecution for acts committed while they thought the war was on, they take shelter in a stagecoach stop and are soon besieged by bandits. A tense, well-done western with a number of touches of wry humor. leave a comment
