The Hangman: Review

Taylor is a deputy marshal (famed for always getting his man) who rides into town to arrest Lord for a crime committed years before. The marshal faces a conspiracy of townsfolk trying to shield Lord, who has reformed and become a reputable citizen. Sheriff Parker finally convinces Taylor to leave Lord alone, and the lawman retires to California with Louise, Lord's ex-girl friend from outlaw days.
