Rogers plays another small-town, homespun type here--this time a druggist whose wife (Wood) has aspirations to high society. She convinces him to sell his store to a chain, and while she makes a fool of herself in the social whirl, he tries to occupy himself with hobbies. They vacation
in New Orleans and Rogers determines that gigolo Gaye is paying entirely too much attention to his wife. Rogers dresses in a Tarzan suit, gets thrown in jail, and finally ends up back home with his store back and his wife in her place. Good Rogers vehicle, Taylor's film debut.
