The folks in Denver are about to face a long winter without a drop of whisky in the town. A shipment of whisky is on the way, but so too is a band of temperance crusaders led by Remick who's out to eliminate alcohol consumption from the planet. Lancaster is an Army veteran in charge of
the troops escorting Remick and her colleagues West, while Landau is leader of a whisky-craving band of Sioux. Basically, this is a one-joke plot with a few vignettes and gags strung on along the way. The whole thing is held together by an understated narration by Dehner, which itself is fairly
clever. Still, the depiction of the Indians in this film is more than a little unsettling.
