In between the successful GODZILLA and RODAN, director Honda made this dull film, which lacks the inventiveness that made the other two features so enjoyable. This time it's a giant apeman, bearing some resemblance to the abominable snowman, who causes hysterics among the people of
northern Japan. For the US release, Carradine and Ankrum were added in new scenes, resulting in little improvement.
