Hadley's Rebellion

O'Neal, the title character, is a student who transfers from a high school in Georgia to a snooty prep school in California. Although he's not immediately accepted by his fellow students, his prowess as a wrestler quickly earns their admiration, and he becomes close friends with Baldwin. He's thrilled when he meets his idol, Crawford, twice an Olympic wrestling champion, but is disappointed to learn that the man is now a bitter drunk. Featuring a host of bewildering character motivations, this disjointed film never finds its pace, jerking along to its predictable conclusion.
