This low-budget film aimed specifically at the family market stars Corcoran as the daughter of Bond and Dee. Gypsy is her prize horse; she rides him everywhere. But a drought is afflicting their small western town and Bond must sell the girl's beloved friend to a racing stable located
500 miles away. The horse misses his friend, breaks loose, and runs back to Corcoran, meeting her at the schoolhouse steps at the usual time. Along comes a timely rain and all is resolved happily. The acting is fine, with Corcoran stealing the show. There's nice photography and the color is used
well. Great for the kids.
