Gun Fever

Stevens is a miner, but he's quick on the draw. With his partner Lupton he tracks a renegade who, with a group of Indians, killed his father. In an interesting Oedipal twist, renegade murderer Saxon is the father of Lupton, who disavowed him years before as a result of his retrograde activities. Justice is done; Stevens rides off alone, leaving the wounded Lupton--newly fatherless--in the tender care of Davi. The latter, in her first high-billed role, was a lovely woman whose charms were amply shown in the European release of this doubleshot film (one of the first of the western genre to be sexed up for foreign release, heralding a new era).
