1932, Movie, NR, 82 mins

starstarstarstar
A good little murder plot that injects some humor in an oft-told tale, GUILTY AS HELL concerns a physician, Stephenson, who attempts to commit the perfect murder. Using rubber gloves, he strangles his wife, sets up a solid alibi (with Arlen to take the blame), and sits back to let the law take its course. The truth comes out only because young reporter Lowe is interested in the suspect's sister, Ames, and takes a special interest in proving her brother's innocence. leave a comment
