A three-episode film, each story involving the adventures of an American in Poland. The first has Glass as a girl-crazy young man on a business trip who visits an uncle, Opalinski, to whom his father has been sending money. The old man is in a rest home, and the money is going for an apartment for his son and daughter-in-law. In episode two, Kowal is an Indiana widower who goes to his father's small town birthplace, looking for a wife. The local mothers, all anxious to marry their daughters to this suave American, treat him like a king. He goes on a drunken binge and winds up marrying the town floozy. The last story involves an American businessman who wants to buy earth from famous battlefields to sell to Polish-Americans back in Chicago. The foolish man is sold a good deal of dirt by the Poles, who are only too eager to please. He loads his product aboard a ship bound for America and sails home. Charming in its own way.
