Guadalajara: Review

Tedious Mexican musical detailing the near-tragic romances of two sets of lovers who are almost forced into loveless marriages by their short-sighted parents. Armendariz is the noble ranch hand who falls deeply in love with his boss's daughter, Baur, who returns his affection but who has been promised to another man, Velez. However, Velez truly loves Lepe, and after much singing, dancing, and boredom, everything is ironed out, and the couples have a double wedding with the partner of their choice. Songs include "Que Sera," "El Mariachi," "Jalisco Nunca Piere," and "Guadalajara." (In Spanish; English subtitles.) leave a comment
