Grisbi

In French grisbi meets "loot," and in this film the loot totals more than 50 million francs and it has two rival gangs struggling madly to obtain it. Gabin leads one of the gangs while Ventura is the head of the rival outlaws and both men will stop at nothing to get the loot. The film is often confusing, especially during the first half, but Gabin and Ventura are well cast as hoods and Moreau is as appealing as ever as an underworld temptress.
