Gridiron Flash

Grant Mitchell plays a college football coach who spots a hot prospect (Eddie Quillan) playing for a prison team and offers him parole if he will put his gridiron talents to use for Bedford College. Ready to rejoin the outside world and anxious to pull a few jobs, the con-cum-collegian jumps at the opportunity, but the clever coach persuades his niece (Betty Furness) to make a play for his new star so he won't stray too far from the playing field. He does so anyway but, not too surprisingly, returns to give it the old college try at a crucial moment in the big game.
