One of the few Twentieth Century Fox Technicolor musicals to flop during the WW II years. Miranda had her first top billing in this silly presentation which takes place in New York City during the early 1920s. Ameche is a composer who tries to spark interest in his piano concerto. Bendix, a speakeasy owner, is raising money to stage a Broadway show, and he successfully adapts Ameche's concerto into an uptown musical.
