Green Ice

This unconvincing film stars Ryan O'Neal as Wiley, a naive electronics engineer who hooks up with phony sophisticate Holbrook (Anne Archer) in Mexico. The two travel south to Colombia, where they team up with a left-wing terrorist and plan a giant emerald heist. Their problems have just begun when they run into Argenti (Omar Sharif), who controls the illegal emerald empire. GREEN ICE stretches credibility to the limits, especially when the thieves use hot-air balloons to steal the jewels and then land on top of a skyscraper undetected.
