This dull western sees Chandler, a surgeon-turned-horse-doctor due to a hand injury, move West to lead the quiet life. Yet things are anything but peaceful in the small town of Laramie Junction, which is also the headquarters of crooked horse dealer Bettger. Though he appears to be a fair-playing rancher, Bettger actually makes a living rustling horses from the Sioux Indians and selling them to the army. The smaller ranchers hate Bettger because of his underhanded buying tactics with them, and to complicate matters, the Sioux are soon on the warpath against him. Along comes Chandler, who calms the Indian chief by promising to find the rustler. Chandler also helps organize the ranchers so they can sell their horses directly to the army rather than use Bettger as their middleman. But Bettger frames the doctor and tries to throw the ranchers and Indians against him, nearly causing the army troops in turn to attack the Sioux. Chandler acts quickly to clear himself, thus preventing a war and bringing Bettger to justice. leave a comment
