This entertaining fluff stars Jimmy Durante and a squirrel (which is actually a puppet) in renowned animator George Pal's directorial debut in feature films. Durante, as Mr. Amendola, heads a hard-luck family of acrobats who suddenly find gobs of money stashed throughout their house. The squirrel has been stealthily taking the money from a miserly neighbor. The family's bubble bursts when a suspicious FBI agent starts snooping around in order to discover the source of their riches. Terry Moore and Tom Drake provide the romance, while Durante wonderfully mugs his way through the film. leave a comment
