An improvement over the 1935 original with Edmund Lowe, this remake of THE GREAT IMPERSONATION takes place during WW II instead of WW I. Bellamy plays a dual role as an Englishman and his German doppelganger. At the war's outbreak, Bellamy kills his German lookalike and returns to England, posing as a master spy for the Nazis, funneling false secret plans to German agents there.
