Great Alligator

1980, Movie, NR, 90 mins

Made by the same cast and crew that created the reprehensible SCREAMERS, this JAWS-inspired effort bypassed American distribution entirely and went straight to network television, pay cable, and home video. Set in an African resort recently built by an insensitive developer played by Mel Ferrer, the story concerns a giant alligator worshipped as a god by the local natives. Of course, the monster begins stomping around the new resort, and it is up to a pair of tourists (Barbara Bach and Claudio Cassinelli) to defeat the creature. Not only is this movie laughably cheap, it's unforgivably racist. leave a comment
