Gravesend

Purportedly shot for a piddling $5000 (take that, EL $7000 MARIACHI!), 22-year-old film school drop-out Salvatore Stabile's debut feature is a violent and darkly funny trip down the mean streets of Brooklyn. One Saturday night in the dead end, ominously named neighborhood of Gravesend, four bored friends suddenly find themselves with a little too much action on their hands: One, the short-fused Zane (Tony Tucci), accidentally shoots the brother of his buddy Ray (Michael Parducci).
