Set in a spooky Gothic mansion in Texas, KEEP MY GRAVE OPEN finds the crazed Lesley (Camilla Carr) imagining herself to be her long-missing brother. Occasionally she kills stray men who make a pass at her, believing that she is her brother defending herself. The victims are killed with a
sword stashed in the backseat of an old car. DON'T LOOK IN THE BASEMENT director S.F. Brownrigg provides some interesting moments, but never really lifts the undeveloped psychosexual angle above the level of mere sleazy exploitation, and since his visual style isn't anywhere near as interesting as
Dario Argento's, what we have is an Argento movie without Argento.
