Typical Rogers oater sees our hero as the down-and-out owner of a dried-up silver mine. Livingston, a one-time Three Mesquiteers star, plays the shifty mining engineer who tries to swindle Rogers out of his mine because he suspects there's much more silver to be found, if you know where
to look. This is the first appearance of Riders of the Purple Sage, who replaced the Sons of the Pioneers. The film was made during Dale Evans' post-marital hiatus from the series, as decreed by Republic president Herbert Yates, who thought no one would believe Rogers' pursuit of his own wife.
