Folksy, southern semi-documentary about the life and times of Jesus Christ, narrated in Jerusalem by Johnny Cash, who points out historical landmarks. The film then cuts to dramatized incidents in Christ's life (the Messiah is played by the director, Elfstrom, in a questionable bit of egotism) that are punctuated with country-and-western songs by the likes of John Denver and Kris Kristofferson.
