Goodbye, My Fancy

Attempting to bridge the gap between comedy and drama, GOODBYE, MY FANCY accomplishes neither. Based on a play by Fay Kanin, it is the story of Crawford, an assertive congresswoman who returns to her alma mater to receive a degree. The irony is that she had been expelled from the school two decades previously, and she agrees to take the award mainly to rub the administrators' noses in her success. Her onetime lover, Young, is now president of the school, and she is looking forward to seeing him again.
