This lavish remake of the 1930 film version of the Broadway musical of the same name stars congenial Peter Lawford as Tait College football hero Tommy Marlowe, who's having trouble making his grades, and adorably nitwitty June Allyson as Connie Lane, the student librarian who tutors him.
The campus sexpot (Patricia Marshall) has her sights set on Tommy, but he succumbs to the goodness of Connie, and all winds up well, including the inevitable big game.
