Good, frantic fun. This consistently hilarious screwball comedy looks back to the classic comedies of Lubitsch Hawks and Sturges for its inspiration and succeeds admirably. Jack Lemmon is great as a happily married ad exec who agrees to impersonate Romy Schneider's husband so she can inherit millions of dollars, but it's Schneider, in her first Hollywood outing, who steals the show.
