Good Girls Go To Paris

Amiable and frothy farce produced by Perlberg before he joined with Director George Seaton to become a major force in films. Douglas is a British professor in the U.S. on an exchange program. Blondell is a waitress at the campus restaurant. Douglas is engaged to someone else but through a series of totally implausible events, he and Blondell wind up in each others' arms. There's a little bit of what appears to be blackmail, some silly breach of promise business, a satire of cafe society in New York and several small subplots, none of which can stand any sort of logical scrutiny but all of which add to the overall enjoyment.
