The Good Fairy

This charming romantic comedy stars Margaret Sullavan as a young woman just released from an asylum, whose innocence attracts the amorous advances of millionaire Frank Morgan. To escape, she tells him she's married, and, when forced to produce a husband, she uses the first name she comes across in the phone book. The unwitting victim is a lawyer, Herbert Marshall. Morgan offers him a contract that will make him rich in the hope of impressing Sullavan and wooing her away from her "husband." Meanwhile, Marshall and Sullavan fall in love.
