Is Gone Baby Gone's Amy Ryan Poised for an Oscar?

Tony-nominated actor Amy Ryan's first love may be the theater, but she's reached a bigger audience — and gained wider acclaim, including a richly deserved Oscar nomination — for her role as the grieving mother of a child who's been kidnapped in the 2007 film Gone Baby Gone. Gone Baby Gone — Blu-ray Review

Listen to writer/director Ben Affleck and writer Aaron Stockard as they provide commentary on the movie, and optional commentar... read more

30 Days Takes Biggest Bite of Weekend Box Office

The vampire flick 30 Days of Night this weekend topped the box office with an estimated gross of $16 million. That was enough to unseat the previous champ, Tyler Perry's Why Did I Get Married? ($12 mil). Rounding out the top five were The Game Plan ($8.1 mil), Michael Clayton ($7.1 mil) and — currently in a dead heat for fifth-place honors — Team Affleck's Gone Baby Gone and the sports spoof The Comebacks, each of which is hovering around $6 mil. read more
