This futuristic view of the Golem legend was brought to the screen by Polish experimental filmmaker Szulkin. The future world depicted here is one in which mad doctors have used technology to gain complete control of the barely human populace. Walczewski, one of the half-man, half-machine
citizens, begins demonstrating too many human characteristics and must be destroyed. Wandering through the urban wasteland, one step ahead of the manipulative scientists, Walczewski struggles to find a way out of the technological madness of his existence. Interesting but overlong. (In Polish.)
