Damita, tired of small-town life, leaves New Jersey and boy friend Morton for fame and fortune in Hollywood. Along the way she gets mixed up in a shady beauty contest run by Hardy. Escaping this, she arrives in movieland only to discover that her former beau is now a star. She is soon as big a star as he. But he's sick of the movie business and they decide to head back to New Jersey and the simple life. Though clearly one of the many fairy tales Hollywood was churning out at the time, there is a nice glimpse of life on a film studio in GOLDIE GETS ALONG. Other than that this is standard Hollywood fluff. leave a comment
