The Golden Fleecing

1940, Movie, NR, 68 mins

Ayres is an insurance salesman who sells a big policy to a gangster. The gangster leaves town, so Ayres has to find him before he is killed, or it could be financial disaster for the company and unemployment for Ayres. There's some nonsense about a worthless stock paying off and reward money. Of course, the gangster is found and Ayres wins the heart of the boss' secretary. The lame script is not helped by the ineffectual direction or Ayres' constant mugging. leave a comment
