Based on a minor 1927 Broadway musical, GOLDEN DAWN is a simplistic story about jungle natives versus white men during WW I. GOLDEN DAWN ranks as a masterpiece of camp. There are a number of plot inconsistencies and some hokey musical numbers. Beery plays in blackface, reflecting the
